Working out technologies for Measurable career and professional development for a wide range of professional fields allowed to generate interest at all in their evidence conclusion: “managing successful society — a system of support for personal business achievements of its citizens”. The clause considers The Business Judgment Rule with which help the management can legitimize the decisions, supposing thus honest mistake. The given rule gives wide discretion at accepting the decisions by organs of government (management, board of directors). Using the given mechanism, the company management can protect itself in court from charges from shareholders. The modern Business Judgment Rule makes certain demands concerning managerial decisions and their consequences. The author considers application of the Business Judgment Rule taking into account additional criteria in the Russian realities

Many innovative drugs used in key therapeutic areas and in such diseases like cancer, hepatitis C, diabetes and many others are an integral part of state insurance programs and reimbursement schemes. Meanwhile, often due to the high cost of medicines and budget constraints, the need of all patients requiring treatment cannot be satisfied. This problem is extremely relevant both in industrialized countries, such as the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany and in such relatively young pharmaceutical markets like Russia. In many countries, there is a law on redemption of patent rights from manufacturers, which allows the state subsequently to provide patients with the necessary therapy almost at the drug’s cost price. However, this practice is not widespread and is really used in isolated instances, even in the leading world countries. The purpose of the present article is to substantiate the need for broad application of the scheme of the patent use redemption by the state using the example of drugs for treating hepatitis C in the USA, where this law has been functioning for many years. During the study, we analyzed the works of leading foreign authors in the field of pharmaceuticals and patent protection, as well as legislative and regulatory documents, statistical materials of international databases on the industry over the past years

Review of the book by Guy Mettan “Russia and the West — a thousand-year war. Russophobia from Charlemagne to the Ukrainian crisis”

The article deals with correlation between the trade and the power nature of the East India Company (1600–1874) as a key agent of the British Empire in Asia. The main stages of its activity are traced, transformation of its strategies and goals is explained. If in the first century and a half economic and political strategies of the company complemented each other with priority of the first, then with the company’s institutional mutation in the middle of the XVIII century there emerged tension between strategies arose. The company’s coming to power in Bengal, establishment of state control over the company and the British industrial revolution not only brought the company’s political strategies to the forefront, but replaced its economic goals with political ones, transforming the company into an instrument of governing India

Levan Longinozovich Stazhadze is a well-known Soviet and Russian anesthetist, doctor of medical sciences, professor, academician of the International Academy of Astronautics. He headed the country’s first department of resuscitation at the Institute of Emergency Care named after N.V. Sklifosovsky, and in 1972-1987 – the department of medical support of manned space flights at the Institute of Biomedical Problems. Together with professor L.G. Kostomarova L.L. Stazhadze is the organizer of the Moscow Disaster Medicine Service and to this day works as the chief researcher in the Center for Emergency Medical Aid, created by them at the Moscow Health Department. Levan Longinozovich is one of those interlocutors who can be listened to for hours, and there will never be enough time to learn about all the amazing details of his biography – sad, funny, edifying, historically significant – often it is referred to very important facts of national history. The names of people, whom he knew well, are known to everybody or to plenty of people. Institutes were named in honor of some of them, while others, on the contrary, became ominous symbols of a bygone era.
