Opening address of editor-in-chief.

Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichy — the undisputed leader of the national education: for 22 years he is being working as Rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, and it seems to many people that he was always there. In academic reference books Victor Antonovich is referred to as a world renown scientist: he found a final solution of the so-called Theory of Traces for Ordinary Differential Operators, established systems of algorithm and software support for mobile simulators, offering dynamic simulation of guided aerospace flight, and analysis and synthesis results of these processes were used for astronauts practical training on the existing simulators.

A new world war for developed countries is a versatile tool solving the problems of the current global financial and economic crisis in the world economy. Under these conditions, the world’s actors, especially the United States, extremely need permanent “enemy-ally”, whose role before was traditionally played by the Russian Empire, later on — the USSR. This explains the feverish attempts by all means to draw Russia into a military conflict in the Ukraine.

Innovative development of modern nuclear power production systems make this industry a significant source of commodities, and to neglect it is inadmissible luxury.

In our country, according to the law, parents have got the right to educate their children on their own, in the form of a family education. Studies in the countries, where this form of education is quite developed, prove its success and effectiveness.

There is such a brainwashing that today’s young people in Ukraine haven’t got a very important concept in the life of every human — Motherland!

In interview with “Economic Strategies” Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of the Kaluga region, described the experience of the Kaluga region’s work with foreign investors, as well as how to create comfortable conditions for doing business in the region.

As follows from the calculation of the integral indices of the RF subjects social potential, determined based on the multifactor model methodology called “Strategic Matrix of the RF region”, worked out by the Institute for Economic Strategies, the development of social conditions cannot be considered even and uniform. Good data is demonstrated in those three of the nine factors that are directly related to reanimation of economic growth in the country — these factors are “Employment”, “Living conditions” and “Crime”.

The article investigates the spatial development of the urban system in Russia. Results of the largest cities evaluation in terms of their economic functions performance allowed to conclude that existing disproportions hinder innovation and economic development of the urban system as a whole.

The paper dwells on testing the express-evaluation methodology for assessing effectiveness of realizing socio-economic development strategy by the example of the Polessky municipal region of the Kaliningrad province.
