DOI: 10.33917/mic-1.90.2020.65-73

The scientific article offers some solutions for the management of oil and gas fields at a late stage of development and possible extension of the field operation period. The analysis of the practices of elimination of production facilities in the Asia-Pacific region, assessed the possibility of using these practices in Russian companies. We propose a set of measures to extend the period of operation of fields, which can be used if their profitability and safety of operation are maintained, including: cost management; additional drilling or changes in the production profile; improvement of operational indicators; improvement of tax or commercial conditions.

Functional product model constructed by using functional-cost analysis

DOI: 10.33917/mic-1.90.2020.57-64

The article discusses certain aspects of the application of the functional model of the product (hydraulic cylinder), built using the functional-cost analysis in the activities of a large machine-building enterprise. The authors of the scientific article calculated the need for materials / components, and also identified the material carrier of functions. The material consumption rate for one hydraulic cylinder is presented, the cost of the product and the feasibility of production are calculated. The authors compared the prices of competitors and found that a machine-building enterprise should produce hydraulic cylinders for both resale and production purposes for military and civilian vehicles. The results of the study can be used in the production activities of industrial enterprises.

Modern approaches to staff material motivation

DOI: 10.33917/mic-1.90.2020.50-56

This article discusses modern approaches to staff motivation, taking into account current market trends. In the context of digitalization and entry of the «millennials» into the labor market, historically established policies and practices become less effective and require their revision. The role of short-term remuneration become more important, including bonuses based on key performance indicators (KPI), one-time bonuses for special achievements and project bonuses. The remote labor market is growing, and the role of base salary for presence in the workplace is decreasing. Most employers focus on «millennials» who are accustomed to living «here and now», so the role of long-term remuneration programs become less important and the approaches to setting and revision of salary are changing. The widespread integration of information technologies and production robotics have direct impact on the requirements for personnel and their competencies. Professional knowledge and skills fade into the background, personal qualities and social skills become priority. Employers are required to be flexible and systematic in matters of personnel management to make the company efficient and ensure its competitiveness.

Analysis approaches to assessing digital inequality of education systems

DOI: 10.33917/mic-1.90.2020.32-49.

In the new economic conditions such as globalization, the information revolution, and the growing need for a highly skilled workforce, countries are increasingly shifting priority to education. Digitalization, as a modern trend in the development of the world economy and society, also has an influence on the education system. However, it is difficult to make cross-country comparisons in the area of digital competitiveness because there are no common approaches to assessing the digital divide, which is shifting from the gap in access and connectivity to ICT to the knowledge gap. To consider various aspects of digitalization of education systems, it is important to identify the countries that are most advanced in this issue. With this in mind, to determine global trends of digital education it is advisable to carry out their classification by characteristics reflecting the differences between these digital systems. However, the absence of such system-forming features makes classification difficult. Therefore, it is important to identify factors that can serve as a basis for classifying the world’s education systems by their level of digitalization. There are no methodological approaches to measuring digital inequality in education systems in international practice. This work is an attempt to identify indicators that would allow us to compare global educational models in terms of creating conditions for learning using ICT. As a result, the relationship between the digital gap in access and connection to ICT and the digital inequality of national education systems is determined, and the comparison of national education systems using digital gap indicators is carried out.

Economic and mathematical aspects of strategic management in transport

DOI: 10.33917/mic-1.90.2020.21-31

The scientific article highlights current problems and key areas of modernization of methodological support for strategic management of the country’s transport system development. A methodological approach to assessing the synergistic effect based on the criterion of maximizing added value is proposed and justified. The expediency of using the methods of assessing the strategic state of economic entities when making important decisions in transport is justified: «growth/share» (BCG matrix), «industry attractiveness /competition position» (GE) and the «life cycle» matrix, etc.

Research and modeling of the influence of new technologies and building materials on the economic results of construction organizations

DOI: 10.33917/mic-1.90.2020.13-20

Methods for identifying the degree of influence of the applied new technologies, building machines, mechanisms, equipment and building materials on the effectiveness of the main activities of construction organizations are proposed. Methodological principles of managing innovative processes in the activities of construction organizations are formulated from the perspective of research, analysis, and assessment of the influence of new technologies and building materials on the economic results of organizations. Approach to practical application of a complex of multiplicative factor models to assess the influence of the analyzed factors on the change in profits from the sale of innovative construction products is proposed.
