DOI: 10.33917/mic-4.105.2022.24-33

This article evaluates the financial potential and corporate asset management policy of RUSAL URAL JSC in the context of economic sanctions. It is established that RUSAL URAL JSC combines an aggressive policy of managing current assets and an aggressive type of policy of managing current liabilities. Thus, a comprehensive operational management policy can also be characterized as aggressive. JSC RUSAL URAL has low ratings for almost all components of the financial potential of the corporation (FPC), therefore, it can be assigned a low level of FPC. Thus, the corporation is not financially stable. In order to improve the financial position of the corporation, increase its stability and solvency, it is possible to change the policy of managing current liabilities from aggressive to moderate, i.e. reduce the share of short-term loans in the total amount of liabilities.

DOI: 10.33917/mic-3.104.2022.46-56

This article discusses modern problems of managing current assets and corporate communications of Russian low-cost airlines under economic sanctions. It has been established that Azur Air LLC combines an aggressive current asset management policy and an aggressive type of current liability management policy. Thus, a comprehensive policy for the operational management of assets and multifunctional corporate communications can also be characterized as aggressive. During the pandemic, Azur Air LLC demonstrated the high flexibility of its business model, which was achieved through a diverse air fleet, consisting of wide- and narrow-body Boeing aircraft of various modifications. This made it possible in the spring of 2022 to freely carry out a number of export transatlantic flights for Russian citizens who were abroad, for the first time to start operating flights on domestic routes, and to intensify cargo transportation.

Recombination of Developing Countries’ Debts to Russia: Conversion of Financial Debt in the Long-Term Lease of Property Assets

The article aims to consider the possibilities of handling the developing countries’ debts to Russia. A model for converting financial debt into long-term lease of property assets (territory, water area, etc.) is proposed. Recombination of debts for the long-term lease of territory will allow our country to achieve geostrategic results now or postpone it for the future, when it becomes especially profitable for us. This model of setting off (paying) the debt of the debtor country for Russia’s right to lease a part of the debtor country’s territory for 100 years ahead with exclusive use rights like a special economic zone should protect the interests of Russia and Russian companies, with regard to possible future situations of both peaceful and military character. Experience of the USA, which leased Alaska from the Russian Empire and is still giving it back, confirms the proposed model effectiveness

Restoring Syrian Economy: Formation of Russian Infrastructural Nucleus in the Middle East Node of the World Strategic Projects

Restoring Syrian Economy: Formation of Russian Infrastructural Nucleus in the Middle East Node of the World Strategic Projects

Russian strategy in assisting the legitimate leadership of Syria in their fight against terrorist groups has shown the beginning of a qualitatively new stage: not only the USA, but also Russia can now restore law and order in the most important regions of the world. The next Russia’s step in gaining back its role and recognized status of superpower shall be organization of successful reconstruction of Syria’s economy, destroyed by the terrorist war, in conditions of critical limitations of the Syrian national resources for these purposes. This requires elaboration and implementation of Russia’s equivalent of the Marshall Plan. It is proposed to concentrate Russian economic aid and investments in those sectors of the Syrian infrastructure development, that are the most promising for the Russian and Syrian interests, with the key positioning of objects restored or created with Russian participation. The basic imperative here is adjusting in Syria a new model of the Russian opportunities realization in key sectors (nodes) of the global strategic projects implementation as the new format of the Middle East development.
